PEACHFEST ANNOUNCES POP-UP DINNER SERIES FOR CHARITY
PEACH FESTIVAL GETTIN’ PEACHY FOR THIRD ANNUAL CELEBRATION
A Hyper-Local Peach-Infused Lineup of Notable Chefs, Farmers and Sponsors will
Showcase the Best of Georgia at this Summer’s Top Culinary Event
ATLANTA — (JULY 2, 2019) With a booming peach season and an extraordinary list of participating chefs, Peachfest is determined to celebrate one of the best crops in decades. The third annual PeachFest (www.peachfest.org) celebration will open its doors Sunday afternoon, June 21 with more than 65+ food artisans, pastry chefs and barkeeps in a statewide peach-feast at Peachtree Center. Additionally this week, festival organizers secretly announced a pop-up dinner series for peach enthusiasts who want an intimate culinary experience called “The Secret Peach Society” to be held at Watershed one week earlier. Tickets for the festival and dinner can be purchased on the website.
“After three years (2016, 2017, 2018), ranging from devastating to moderately good harvests, peach farming has finally flourished this year. While we celebrate this change for the better, we must also remember to be grateful for our farmers,” says Brady Lowe, Director of Piggy Bank. “Without hands in the dirt, we would never see food on our plates and that’s what Peachfest is all about.”
“The Secret Peach Society” pop-up dinner series will be held July 12,13,14 and 15 at Watershed on Peachtree Road and will benefit two amazing causes. Each night features one seating where guest chefs personally cook for 20 people in a private dining room inclusive of a grilling area and dedicated open bar featuring select brands from Remy-Cointreau. Guests can expect hand-crafted cocktail pairings, education, grilled tomahawks and total peach madness in an all-inclusive dining experience. Each feast is priced at $105, and includes a silent auction item to benefit charity and brings together celebrated chefs and thought leaders to highlight sustainable food sourcing through conversation. Charity representatives Brady Lowe of Piggy Bank and Jon Jackson of Comfort Farms will be attendance to lead conversations.
