2018 PeachFest Announced Press Release
EAT, DRINK AND BE PEACHY ON JULY 29
Tickets on sale for Second Annual PeachFest, a celebration of responsible agriculture,
culinary excellence and hospitality
ATLANTA (April 10, 2018) - PeachFest returns to Downtown Atlanta on Sunday, July 29, and once again the FlatironCity (Fairlie-Poplar) will play host to the more than 600 attendees, 65 food artisans, pastry chefs and barkeeps who will collaborate on a memorable culinary event.
Held underneath the canopy on Downtown’s Broad Street, PeachFest was named after Georgia’s iconic state fruit and aims to celebrate the state’s agricultural diversity. All proceeds from the event benefit, Piggy Bank, a start-up farm in Missouri that serves as a kickstarter for new family farms and a safety net for those in the wake of a disaster (fire, flood, and disease). For an in-depth look at the PeachFest movement, watch the overview video, and purchase tickets here https://www.peachfest.org.
PeachFest 2018’s theme is “Georgia is our Home,” an initiative to combine responsible agriculture, culinary, and technology alongside delicious preparations of Georgia-grown peaches. Our goals include raising money for charity, celebrating Georgia grown peaches, blueberries, peanuts, heritage breed pigs and Vidalia onions while discovering a new Downtown culinary experience.
